               The Benton County LEPC

Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPC) are the focal points in communities for information about hazardous materials, including emergency planning measures and health and environmental risks.

LEPC membership includes representatives of local government, emergency response organizations, environmental and citizen groups, and industry, along with other interested parties in the county.

LEPCs develop plans that include the location and identity of hazardous materials, procedures for immediate response to chemical accidents, ways to notify the public about protective actions they must take and other related duties.

NEW Decontamination Tents are now located at ALL three Benton County hospitals for response to chemical incidents!
