SE-COMM'S 2007 Dispatcher of the Year
Tamara Bell is the 2007 Dispatcher of the Year for the Southeast Communications Center (SECOMM). SECOMM Manager Jim Barber made the announcement during National Public Safety Telecommunicators’ Week in April. In making the selection, Barber noted that Tamara maintains a high level of professionalism, integrity and dedication in her work as an emergency dispatcher for Benton County. Barber also stressed that this award is for sustained superior performance throughout the year rather than performance during one or two situations. Tamara has been with SECOMM since July 2001 and says that working in SECOMM is fast-paced with no two days that are ever alike. And she comes from a family of dedicated public service. Her father is a corporal with the Richland Police Department and her mother works for the Juvenile Justice Center as does her husband Steve.
